Ohio State Football’s dark horse for Heisman

Ezekiel Elliott is the best pound-for-pound running back in college football. He may not rumble the rock the way that Leonard Fournette can for LSU, but he can give him a run for his money out of the backfield. Zeke doesn’t have the catching capabilities out of the backfield that Christian McCaffrey has, but he can keep pace and catch passes when he needs too. The backs he is placed against in the race for the Heisman both have areas where they excel extremely well and two others where they are simply average, whereas Ezekiel Elliott is a decent receiver, an aggressive blocker, and a dominant force in the running game (which makes him overall better than his competition). With this is mind, why is he managing to only place 5th in ESPN’s most recent Heisman rankings? The difference is the teams they are all a part of.
