Judging the College Football Playoff Rankings: Ohio St. overrated at No. 3

The College Football Playoff released its second set of rankings for the 2015 season Tuesday night, and there were some major changes in the poll after a weekend that saw three unbeaten teams lose their first games. And they got quite a bit wrong in these latest rankings. Now, I am fully aware that the only rankings that truly matter will be the final set of rankings in December, but it’s a fallacy to say that these early rankings don’t matter at all. So, in that sense, these rankings matter quite a bit. So it’s important that we let the committee know what it’s getting wrong.
