Illini football team faces long odds against No. 2 Ohio State

CHAMPAIGN — For the final game at Memorial Stadium this season, the Illinois football team rekindles its rivalry with No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday morning. Yes, it’s a real rivalry. There’s a trophy — the Illibuck — a wooden turtle. Though in recent years, showdowns between the Illini and the Buckeyes haven’t exactly gone in favor of the orange and blue. Quite the opposite, actually. Ohio State has won nine of the last 10 meetings and hasn’t lost a game in Champaign since 1991.
