Michigan State Football: Three and out, Ohio State

The Michigan State football team still has a shot at the College Football Playoff. But in order to take advantage of that opportunity, this team has to upset Ohio State this weekend. Here’s a look at the three reasons the Spartans can boost their resume, and three reasons the Buckeyes get a further stranglehold on the Big Ten East. Three reasons why MSU will lose to Ohio State 3. Ohio State gets up for big games A lot of talk has been made of how Ohio State and Michigan State have both squeaked by inferior opponents. But in the biggest games for the Buckeyes, they have dominated their opposition. In a revenge game against Virginia Tech, it took a while, but the Buckeyes pulled ahead and dominated the second half. In the Penn State game, Ohio State beat the Nittany Lions 38-10. This is the biggest game of the year for the Buckeyes and, prior to the season, was considered the de facto Big Ten Championship. While that may not be the case with the emergence of Michigan and Iowa, the winner of this game will still be in the driver’s seat for the division title. Oh, and it is Senior Day for the Buckeyes…
