Braden Lenzy, Tigard sophomore athlete, visits Ohio State Buckeyes

Class of 2017 West Linn cornerback Elijah Molden is arguably the top cornerback the state has produced in decades. But if it weren’t for the son of former NFL talent and Oregon Ducks star Alex Molden, Tigard sophomore Braden Lenzy would be getting a lot more hype at the position locally. >>> Molden, Lenzy selected as Oregonian All-Prospect All-State cornerbacks Instead, he’ll have to “settle” for being on the radar of both Pac-12 and Big Ten programs before he has his driver’s license. Not a bad consolation prize. Last week, the 6-foot, 160-pound athlete, who could play either wide receiver or cornerback in college, visited Ohio State University with his father, Melvin Lenzy, who attended Purdue.  It’s safe to say he walked away impressed. “The visit was really amazing because of how exciting the atmosphere was,” Braden Lenzy wrote via Twitter direct message. “Right when I was walking down the tunnel to the stadium I was super giddy and could only smile. it was great seeing them live in action, especially since I’m from Ohio.” Lenzy was particularly impressed getting to see a few of college football’s biggest names up close and personal. “The highlight of my trip was probably getting to be up close pre-game to players like J.T. Barrett and Ezekiel Elliot,” he explained. …
