After sliding through a competitive season, with a chance to win every game, the No. 12 Wolverines saw what the elite looks like Saturday at Michigan Stadium, getting run over by No. 8 Ohio State, 42-13. On a day that started with hope, with U-M (9-3, 6-2 Big Ten) hanging within four points at halftime, the Buckeyes blew that away in the third quarter, slicing through Michigan’s porous run defense, reminding what a defending national championship team looks like. Ohio State’s 11th win in the past 12 meetings with the Wolverines was as thorough as any since the Rich Rodriguez era ended in 2010. Just like Indiana had two weeks earlier, once Ohio State found its rhythm on the ground, the Wolverines were helpless. The Buckeyes (11-1, 7-1) had only two drives in the third quarter but each marched over 80 yards and they ran for 119 yards on only 17 carries. …
