UM vs. Ohio State most-watched noon game in 18 years

Despite not playing for a title, The Game — a 42-13 Ohio State rout — drew a ton of eyeballs last weekend. At a 6.4 household rating and 10,830,000 viewers, it was the second-highest-rated and third-most-watched game of the season. It also was the most-watched noon game in 18 years, since Nov. 22, 1997, when Michigan was undefeated and playing for a Rose Bowl berth against OSU. Other facts from ABC/ESPN: • Third-most-watched Buckeyes vs. Wolverines matchup on ABC on record — notably surpassing the 2002 matchup (Ohio State’s BCS championship season. It still trails 2006 and 1997. • Up 32% in viewership from last year. • On WatchESPN, it was the most streamed game of Week 13, with a total of 455,000 unique viewers resulting in 25,000,000 minutes watched. …
