The Columbus Dispatch reports that Elliott’s status for Friday’s Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame has not changed. According to the report, citing Columbus police, Elliott said he hydroplaned after hitting a puddle before hitting with another vehicle with two people. One suffered a minor injury. “He was the at-fault driver,” said Denise Alex-Bouzounis, a division spokeswoman, told the Dispatch. Elliott made national news after Ohio State saw its 23-game winning streak snapped by a 17-14 loss to Michigan State and he voiced his frustrations. He later apologized. It recently became a topic again when Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin referenced it in a joke. Elliott has a preliminary court date set for Jan. 26 in Columbus, per Cleveland.com
