Ezekiel Elliott ran for 149 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries Friday during Ohio State’s 44-28 victory against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. Quarterback J.T. Barrett carried his share of the load (96 yards) and was 19-for-31 for 211 yards at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Notre Dame All-American linebacker Jaylon Smith left in the first quarter after landing awkwardly on his left leg. Ohio State All-American Joey Bosa was ejected for targeting in the first quarter, taking two top-10 NFL picks off the field in short order. _On the offensive: Kizer was 22-for-37 for 284 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for Notre Dame. Corey Robinson set a season high with three catches for 41 yards, all of which came in a row during a second-quarter drive that ended with Kizer’s 14-yard run.
