The two biggest names, receiver Geno Lewis and linebacker Troy Reeder, seem to have solid reasons for leaving. Lewis wasn’t getting a lot of playing time, and Reeder wanted to be closer to his family and play with his brother at Delaware. Some other players appear to be leaving for depth-chart reasons. The coaching departures do raise some eyebrows, however. Star defensive coordinator Bob Shoop left for Tennessee for not all that much more money, and offensive line coach Herb Hand took the same position at Auburn. These are basically lateral moves when you consider the resources Penn State has. …
