Six Big Ten schools appear in final national polls for just second time in conference history, including four among top 12Jan. 25, 2016 • With bowl season complete, six Big Ten schools earned spots in the final Associated Press (AP) and Amway coaches polls, marking the second time in conference history and first since 1999 that at least six teams finished in the top 25 of both polls. Four Big Ten teams appeared among the top 12 in both final polls for just the fourth time in Big Ten history and first since 1999. Ohio State ended the year ranked fourth in both polls, Michigan State was sixth in each, Iowa was ninth in the AP rankings and 10th in the coaches poll and Michigan was 12th in the AP rankings and 11th in the coaches poll.
