Four Big Ten teams appeared among the top 12 in both final polls for just the fourth time in Big Ten history and first since 1999. Ohio State ended the year ranked fourth in both polls, Michigan State was sixth in each, Iowa was ninth in the AP rankings and 10th in the coaches poll and Michigan was 12th in the AP rankings and 11th in the coaches poll.
