(Doug Kapustin / For The Washington Post)Dwayne Haskins, Jr. / Bullis /QB / 6-3, 200 pounds / Statistics The most coveted quarterback from the Washington area this year caused plenty of heartache and happiness last month when he de-committed from Maryland in favor of a conference rival, but National Signing Day featured far less drama for Bullis All-Met Dwayne Haskins, Jr. The four-star recruit signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for Ohio State Wednesday, officially completing a recruiting flip that could impact the Big Ten East standings for years to come. Haskins initially committed to Maryland last May, and began recruiting other local prospects to join him, after emerging as a national recruit between his sophomore and junior seasons. But he had a change of heart once former Terrapins Coach Randy Edsall was fired and former offensive coordinator Mike Locksley was not retained on new Coach D.J. Durkin’s staff and began taking visits elsewhere. The Under Armour all-American called Ohio State his dream school upon committing there and ultimately chose the Scarlet and Gray over dozens of scholarship offers from power conference schools. He also helped convince Good Counsel All-Met Keandre Jones to flip from Maryland to Ohio State along with him. …
