For four out of the last five years, Penn State wrestling fans have gotten used to watching the defending national champions compete in dual meets. The team that stopped that streak is who they’ll be watching on Friday night. Seventh-ranked Ohio State (No. 3 tournament power index) captured last year’s NCAA crown and the Buckeyes (9-2, 6-1 Big Ten) have made it clear they plan on defending. They’ll bring a defending national champ and four All-Americans to a sold-out Jordan Center on Friday night for a 6 p.m. (Big Ten Network) dual that could rank as one of the better collegiate meets this season. No. 1 Penn State (12-0, 7-0) counters with five A-A’s of its own and three freshmen who, barring injury, will almost certainly own that same status in six weeks. Depending on lineup juggling, the 20 starters could own in excess of 50 state titles. The Buckeyes have scored 30 points twice. Only twice has Penn State not scored 30 points in a dual. …
