So Dobbins’ decision to commit to the Buckeyes never looked imminent, even though he had talked about making an early decision. And head coach Urban Meyer didn’t even officially offer Dobbins until several weeks ago, along with the fact that there isn’t even any evidence that he’s been to Columbus since last May. Since Dobbins hasn’t visited recently and since it’s so early in the process and since he lives in such close proximity to Austin — La Grange is just over 60 miles away — the Longhorns should have a chance to battle back into the mix, as he’s a key target at the running back position.
