Schiano agrees to 1-year deal with Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio — New OSU associate head football coach Greg Schiano has signed a one-year term sheet with the school which will pay him a base salary of $600,000 until January 15, 2017. The school released a copy of the agreement to NBC4. Schiano will serve as OSU’s defensive co-coordinator and work with safeties. He’s also eligible for several performance bonuses. The deal was signed by Director of Athletics Gene Smith February 25th.  Schiano previously served as the head coach at Rutgers and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ohio State opened spring football Tuesday morning. It was Schiano’s first official practice with the Buckeyes. Share this: Advertisement
