Former OSU quarterback arrested for OVI

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -Westerville police confirm former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith was arrested for an OVI. It happened early Sunday shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the area of State Street and Hoff Road. Smith was pulled over for an improper display of a license plate and his breath tested .143. The car Smith was driving did not have a front license plate. Police also found Smith was in possession of marijuana. He’s charged with Improper Display of License Plates, OVI, OVI Breath and Possession of Marijuana. Smith was later released from police custody. He’s expected in court on Wednesday, April 6th.
