Report: Kentucky football signee apologizes to Ohio State Buckeyes, Urban Meyer

College Football Championship 2015 Urban Meyer and the Ohio State team celebrates following the Oregon Ducks loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff National Championship, Jan 11, 2015, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. A week after Kentucky offensive line signee Landon Young told SECCountry.com that Ohio State and Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer “treated me like crap,” and a day after Meyer addressed those comments, the 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive lineman has issued an apology on Twitter. “The quotes that were attributed to me in an article last week were mistaken and in no way reflect my feelings toward coach Urban Meyer and the Ohio State program,” Young said as part of his tweet. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for coach Meyer, his assistants and that program.  Coach was honest and frank with me, and he, and his staff, treated me with a great amount of respect during my visit. Then about the treating him bad, we don’t do that on purpose. If that is his feelings, I went back and talked to our staff about it because we don’t want that to be out there. But when you have one out of 650 that say someone is treated bad…” pic.twitter.com/sTej4he8yJ — Landon Young (@Landon_Young_67) April 6, 2016 It remains unclear whether or not Young’s Twitter retraction is enough to undo the minor damage done to Ohio State’s recruiting reputation
