Calgary’s Jaclyn Lee proud to be digging divots for Ohio State Buckeyes

It’s good to be a Buckeye.  Take it from Calgary’s Jaclyn Lee, a talented teen who is now part of a fiercely proud sporting tradition as a freshman on the women’s golf team at Ohio State University.  “I don’t think that you realize until you get here how many students look up to you and how many other students think that it’s so cool that you’re part of the golf team,” said Lee, a member at Glencoe Golf & Country Club, a representative of Golf Canada’s national amateur team and the reigning champion at the Alberta Ladies Amateur.  “And also meeting other student-athletes who share the same passion for their sport as you do for yours, that’s really cool. In fact, the freshman finance major was the Buckeyes’ top performer with a T-18 finish last week at the Silverado Showdown in California. Her finest display so far in collegiate competition is a share of ninth at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Arizona in late February. Lee’s busy summer schedule will include a title defence at the 2016 Sun Life Financial Alberta Ladies Amateur at Highwood in High River, plus tee-times at the Ladies’ British Open Amateur in Scotland and the Canadian Women’s Amateur in Nova Scotia…
