Ohio State hopes to have 100000 at Saturday’s spring game

But the Buckeyes and head coach Urban Meyer are looking for more fans in the stands this year, and thinks they can have 100,000 in attendance for the game on Sat., April 16. Brett Scarbrough, Ohio State’s assistant athletic director for ticketing, told cleveland.com that 67,400 tickets have been sold for Saturday’s game. A year ago, the Buckeyes had sold 47,400 tickets by the Tuesday before the game. That puts Ohio State 20,000 ahead of last year’s pace. “I’m appealing to our fans to come out and support us, for a lot of reasons,” Meyer said in a press conference this past Monday. “There’s nothing like performing in front of 100,000 people. It’s supposed to be great weather so I’m hoping we get 100,000 people.” Ohio State charges $5 for entrance into the spring game…
