4:08 PM ET COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State coach Urban Meyer already knows he can expect a huge crowd on Saturday at the Horseshoe as his team wraps up spring camp with its annual exhibition game. But even though he’s one year removed from seeing 99,391 fans packed in to set a national record, he wants more, and for good reason. Meyer, who has been consistently beating the drum to get over 100,000 fans for the game, knows he doesn’t have the experienced team he had last spring. With so many young players, he wants to put them in a true game environment. “The value this year is probably greater than any of our [previous] four years here to see how they respond,” Meyer said. “One thing we’re going to have is we’re supposed to have great weather, and I hope that we get 100,000 people. That’s an appeal to our fans to come on out, and this year even more than last year to see how people perform in this stadium. “There’s nothing like performing in front of 100,000 people and the opportunity for me to watch that.” Bri’onte Dunn probably will get a few carries on Saturday, as will his chief competition, Mike Weber. Kirk Irwin/Getty ImagesBased on the brisk ticket sales that were already climbing near 70,000 in the middle of the week without counting the free tickets available to students, Meyer should get his wish. And there will be plenty for him to watch as all those fans try to get a look at a revamped, reloading roster.
