But rather than paying attention to the questions and letting those influence him, the dynamic 5-foot-11, 205-pound Marshall is using those doubts as motivation to accomplish his dream of becoming an impact player in the National Football League. “It just motivates me to go out and prove myself this week,” Marshall said. “I’ve made it this far, so I don’t know if they’ve got anything to say about that, but I’ve made it this far, and all I can do is get better from here. “All I can do is control my future, and that’s what I’m expecting to do.” Part of what has helped Marshall deal with the questions about his decision to enter the NFL Draft and forgo his remaining two years of eligibility is the fact that he left Ohio State with 13 of his teammates. “It’s a little nerve-racking, but like we said earlier, there’s 13 of us here from the same school, so it’s like a big job interview for all of us, and I don’t think they would bring us here if they didn’t think we were ready,” Marshall said at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine. “It’s a little nerve-racking, but I feel at ease that I did make it this far and I can still prove a lot. “We’ve talked to each other about what was going on in each of the interviews, trying to figure out what to say, what not to say, but we’ve been trained since we got to Ohio State to compete at a high level and be prepared for a day like this. “For the most part, it’s been, ‘What made you come out?’ and ‘Why did you make the decision?’ and having to explain that. Like I said, I felt like I’m ready to go and Ohio State really gave me a great opportunity to step into the NFL.” Recruited because of his versatility, Marshall found a home as a punt returner and rose to the level of All-American for his impact on special teams. Marshall returned 53 punts for 662 yards and one touchdown in two years with the Buckeyes…
