After Ohio State offer, Camp Hill tight end Zack Kuntz eyes Alabama, Florida State

Camp Hill’s Zack Kuntz picked up an offer from Ohio State on Wednesday, and Stanford stopped by the school to see him. As impressive as that is for a sophomore, Kuntz doesn’t plan to let the action surrounding his recruitment slow down. Next, he said, he plans on reaching out to Alabama and Florida State. Considering 247 Sports ranks the nearly 6-foot-8 playmaker as the top tight end in the Class of 2018, there’s a good chance he will be hearing back from those schools. “I talked to Alabama once, and they said they were going to try to get out to one of my track meets and watch me run and jump,” Kuntz said. “I haven’t heard from Florida State much, but I would love for them to come in contact with me.” Kuntz is also a standout in basketball and, in track, he is among the area’s best in the 110 hurdles (14.5) and the high jump (6-6).  Kuntz already claims 10 offers, and the list is impressive. Among those vying for his services, he said, are Penn State, Duke, Notre Dame, Michigan, Maryland, Nebraska, Pitt, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Kuntz said he doesn’t have a favorite yet, but the Buckeyes have made a good early impression. “That was definitely huge to get an offer from a program run by Urban Meyer,” he said. “I think they just put 11 guys in the draft, and that is just unheard of.” Kuntz caught 48 passes for 794 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, and his size makes him a unique prospect.
