Ohio State wearing serious throwbacks for select 2016 game

DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup for June 6 by Andrew C. Lovell NBA Rumors: Ricky Rubio considering leaving Timberwolves by Josh Hill The Ohio State Buckeyes will be wearing some serious throwback uniforms for a select game in the 2016 season… uniforms very few fans will remember. In the current state of college football, how you look on the field has become just as important (if not more important) than how you actually play the game. The Oregon Ducks haven’t won a national title, but wearing what seems like 5,687 different uniforms has made them a household name. While many schools are looking to the future with their specialty uniforms, the Ohio State Buckeyes are going the other direction with some throwback uniforms that force us to ask, how far back is too far back? The Buckeyes will be saluting their 1916 team during the 100th anniversary season with these threads for a select game that has yet to be announced: Can confirm that this jersey (via @Bucknuts247) is Ohio State’s 2016 alternate uniform: pic.twitter.com/9icg7kKCpb — Andrew Lind (@AndrewMLind) June 5, 2016 The 1916 Ohio State team went 7-0 and won the Western Conference (which would later become the Big Ten) while setting the school record for points scored in a game during their 128-0 win over Oberlin. The Buckeyes also defeated future Big Ten members Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Indiana. In the past several seasons, Ohio State has had plenty of different alternate uniforms (one of the byproducts of being affiliated with Nike, who wants all their colleges to look futuristic and to say the hell with tradition), including their all-black uniform and helmet combo for a game in 2015.
