How should Florida fans feel about Tim Tebow appearing in Ohio State marketing?

Ahead of one of Ohio State’s summer football camps, the Buckeyes’ official Twitter account on Tuesday released pictures of Tim Tebow, a former Florida great, along with a quote with him praising Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. What’s not clear is whether Tebow signed off on the use of his image for the tweet. If he did, he willingly used his #brand to promote a competing school for recruiting purposes. If not, Ohio State just used a player who helped beat the Buckeyes in a national title game to promote itself. Is either a big deal for Florida fans? For those who care about competing in recruiting, absolutely. Tebow is one of the program’s all-time greats. He led the Gators to one national championship, participated in another and won a Heisman Trophy. His statue is out front of the football stadium. And he’s being used to promote another program led by the head coach who left Florida high and dry. Should it be a big deal, though? Not really…
