Ohio State predicted to be No. 4 in country over next 10 years

(Photo: USA TODAY Sports) What Urban Meyer has done and the ride he has the Ohio State football program on has been almost magical since the man that grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio took over the Buckeye football program. Two years ago Ohio State won the first ever college football playoff era national championship.  The most recent class of Buckeye seniors finished with a 50-4 record, unheard of in college football. Meyer and company are recruiting at an absolutely elite level – arguably the highest recruiting level ever for the storied Buckeye football program.  Indeed as Meyer has said, “the future looks bright.” And in a Bleacher Report article written by David Kenyon Predicting the Top 25 College Football Programs of the Next 10 Years, Kenyon has Ohio State at No. 4 in the country over the next 10 years.  Rounding out Kenyon’s Top 5 are Alabama at No. 1, Michigan at No. 2, Florida State at No. 3 and Clemson at No. 5. Kenyon writes that the 50-4 record Meyer and the Buckeyes are coming off “is pretty much absurd.”  He adds the “Buckeyes will be a national contender every year” under Meyer. But what has to have Buckeye fans scratching their heads is Ohio State being ranked behind Michigan, especially considering Ohio State had a higher ranked 2016 recruiting class than Michigan did last year and is projected to have a higher ranked class than the Wolverines this recruiting cycle.
