Ohio State dismissed running back Bri’onte Dunn for unspecified reasons on Monday. We know what those reasons were. The Columbus Dispatch obtained a 911 call in which a woman identifying herself as Dunn’s girlfriend told dispatchers on Sunday afternoon, “My boyfriend hit me really bad.” She went on to say he struck her in the mouth, then returned to choke her. “My lip is bleeding and I have a black eye,” she said. The woman filed for a protection order on Monday, but no criminal charges have been filed against Dunn as of yet. Dunn graduated from Ohio State in May and was expected to contend for the Buckeyes’ starting running back role in his final season of eligibility.
