CHICAGO — There are a great many uncertainties about Ohio State’s roster this season. Quarterback — refreshingly for the Buckeyes and their fans — is not one of them. A year after the Jones-or-Barrett dilemma dragged on ad nauseam, there is no imagination required this offseason for OSU. For this season at least, center stage belongs to J.T. Barrett, and J.T. Barrett alone. Freed from the mentally exhausting competition with Cardale Jones, Ohio State is hoping the solid status allows Barrett to flourish again. “Last year was just a storm,” OSU linebacker Raekwon McMillan said. “This year, you can see J.T. is way more focused about what’s going on around him. He’s our quarterback.
