Former Buckeyes reunite with eyes on a championship

COLUMBUS — The impact of The Ohio State University is felt all around central Ohio, especially at sporting events. So it should come as no surprise there is a mini reunion of OSU golfing legends taking place this week at the 37th U.S. Senior Open. John Cook, Joey Sindelar, Rod Spittle and Brian Mogg all will be teeing it up this week at Scioto Country Club. The four played for the Buckeyes between 1976 and 1983 with Cook and Sindelar part of the 1979 national championship team. “I don’t know how it could possibly be any better,” Sindelar said. “This whole coming back to town, and it’s Ohio State and it’s my pals. And on top of that, it’s Scioto.
