From Heisman Trophy winners Archie Griffin and Eddie George, to star running backs Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliott. Ohio State has had several running backs that have not only gone on to play in the NFL, but that have been key factors in OSU’s overall success during their time as Buckeyes. These players were the main running backs for their respective Ohio State teams. They got carry after carry throughout each game and in key moments. But this season, head coach Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes are taking a different approach to the position. The combination of redshirt freshman Mike Weber and junior H-back Curtis Samuel is very different from the one running back approach that Ohio State has had in previous years.
