Tom Cousineau, new College Football Hall of Fame member, to be honored at Ohio State's game vs. Indiana

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State Buckeye and Northeast Ohio native Tom Cousineau will be honored at Saturday’s game vs. Indiana for being part of the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame class. Cousineau, whose career spanned from St. Edward High School to Ohio State to the Cleveland Browns, will be honored on the field during Saturday’s game and presented with a Hall of Fame plaque. He was announced as a member of the new College Football Hall of Fame class in January. Cousineau finished his Ohio State career with 569 tackles from 1975-78, second all-time. He holds six school records, was a two-time consensus first-team All-American and helped guide the Buckeyes to three Big Ten titles. He’s the 25th Ohio State player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. There are also seven Buckeye coaches in the hall. Jim Tressel was inducted last year. This is fourth time in five years that Ohio State has had an inductee.
