Is defense setting tone for Buckeyes?

Sixty-two percent. Which, incidentally, is much higher than OSU quarterback J.T. Barrett’s .429 completion percentage Saturday against Indiana. Ohio State had a devil of a time putting away the Hoosiers, so that must mean our visitors to the west would stand a fighting chance against the Browns as well, right? Preposterous. We’re talking about professionals (even if you do need to keep reminding yourself) against a bunch of college kids, an iota of whom will make it to the next level. In the wake of OSU’s 38-17 win Saturday, which came within a goal-line stand of being a one-score game with 10 minutes to play, here’s betting that 100 percent of those 62 percent cited by the Public Policy Polling survey would gladly trade a never-gonna-happen Battle of Ohio for a (will-it-happen?) victory over Wisconsin on Saturday night.
