Behind Enemy Lines: Ohio State

Blue White Illustrated caught up with BuckeyeGrove.com publisher Kevin Noon to learn more about what the Nittany Lions will be facing Saturday night at Beaver Stadium when No. 2-ranked Ohio State visits.  1. Was Saturday night’s win at Wisconsin – and the way Ohio State was able to do it – a seminal moment for this particular Buckeyes team? I think all teams need to have that moment where they need to go out and ‘win a game’. Teams that cannot do that generally are not the best teams (let’s face it, there are few teams in the history of college football that just show up every Saturday and roll for 12-plus weeks). While nobody wants to plan for adversity or worse yet, manufacture adversity, players and coaches gain a lot of valuable experience from those types of situations, as long as they don’t become too frequent. We have seen teams (2014 Florida State) walk too close to the cliff for multiple games only to fall off the cliff at some point. This was Ohio State’s first real taste of being in a bad spot, much like the 2014 game at Penn State that went to double overtime. The Buckeyes…
