Penn State’s Evan Schwan considers Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett to be a “great” quarterback, but when asked Wednesday on the best QB he has faced while at Penn State, the defensive end named a Buckeye, and it was not Barrett.“The best quarterback? I mean, playing last year, Cardale (Jones) at Ohio State was impressive,” he said. “But the best I’ve ever played against? I’d say it was Braxton (Miller) a few years ago when he was solid at quarterback before he got hurt and J.T. and Cardale came in and kind of battled for the job.” His ranking of Miller above the other two was based on one trait in particular. “I thought he made plays with his feet whenever his reads weren’t there throwing the ball,” said Schwan, who is in his fifth year at Penn State and played against Miller in 2013. “He controlled Ohio State’s offense.
