Penn State praying for the best against Ohio State

Ohio State ranks fourth in the Football Bowl Subdivision averaging 49.3 points per game, third in scoring defense allowing 12.8 points per game and fourth in turnover margin, causing 13 turnovers while committing just five. All that and more has Penn State channeling Dusty Springfield, just wishing and hoping and thinking and praying and planning and dreaming of a win against the No. 2 Buckeyes (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) tonight at Beaver Stadium. While the Nittany Lions (4-2, 2-1) are coming off their bye week and their best performance to date two weeks ago against Maryland, Ohio State’s junior quarterback J.T. Barrett will bring his new title of all-time Ohio State touchdown leader with 89 with him. Barrett is a dual-threat talent, who works behind a massive offensive line that protects him. And even the young Buckeyes defense hasn’t seemed to miss those many NFL departures and still sports playmakers, including first-year starter and sophomore safety Malik Hooker, a New Castle native.
