Best of the unis: Ohio State throws it way, way back

8:00 AM ET Ohio State wasn’t always the football powerhouse that it is today. And on Saturday at Ohio Stadium against Nebraska (8 p.m. ET, ABC), the Buckeyes will pay tribute to a team that paved the way for those that came after it. These Buckeyes uniforms will mirror those of the 1916 Buckeyes, the first undefeated team in school history, who were led by the school’s first All-American, Chic Harley. They’re calling the look “Music and Cannon Fire” because author James Thurber famously described Harley’s running style “a cross between music and cannon fire, and it brought your heart up under your ears.” “A cross between music & cannon fire.”1916. 2016.
