Ohio State Makes College Football Playoff, Will Play Clemson In PlayStation Fiesta Bowl

For the second time in three years, Ohio State is going to the playoffs. The Buckeyes (11-1) capped their season with a double-overtime win over Michigan and were ranked No. 2 heading into the final College Football Playoff selection show. On Sunday, the four semifinalists were announced on ESPN, and Ohio State checked in at No. 3, which sets the Buckeyes up for a PlayStation Fiesta Bowl date with No. 2 Clemson on Dec. 31. To top of the day for Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, his daughter, Nicki, gave birth to a son Troy earlier in the day, according to ESPN. Nicki’s husband, Corey Dennis, is a graduate assistant on Ohio State’s coaching staff.
