Ohio State Knocks Down Free Throws In The Closing Minutes To Pull Off The Close Victory

One of Ohio State’s weaknesses became its strength in the final minutes during a 64-60 win over Connecticut on Saturday night at Value City Arena.  The game was tied at 54 with 2:40 left in the game and the Buckeyes (8-2) made 10 of their 12 free throws the rest of the way to hold off UConn (4-5). All of Ohio State’s points in the last two-plus minutes came from the charity stripe.    The Buckeyes shot a season-high 34 foul shots for the game and made 26 of them (76.5 percent). They entered the game shooting 63.1 percent from the line.
