Ohio State football could face both Luke Fickell and Lane Kiffin in three years

COLUMBUS, Ohio — This is what you get with future schedules. Ohio State puts Cincinnati and Florida Atlantic in its future football plans, and it turns out the Buckeyes could get both Luke Fickell and Lane Kiffin. To open the 2019 football season, Ohio State will host Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Aug. 31, followed by Cincinnati on Saturday, Sept. 7. On Saturday, Cincinnati hired Fickell, the long-time Buckeye. On Monday, Florida Atlantic hired Kiffin, the one-time Buckeye foe. A month ago, you may have thought the start to the 2019 season would bring you a below-average team from Florida, one that has been coached by Charlie Partridge and gone 3-9 each of the last three seasons.
