COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s season opener for the 2017 season at Indiana has been moved from Saturday, Sept. 2 to Thursday, Aug. 31. It’s the seventh time Ohio State will kick off its season on a day other than Saturday and it’s the third Thursday evening game. The kickoff time and television network are still to be determined. Ohio State opened its 2015 season at Virginia Tech on a Monday night. The two previous times the Buckeyes opened their season on a Thursday were both in Ohio Stadium. In 2010 Ohio State beat Marshall 45-7 and in 1997 it beat Wyoming 24-10 as part of the initial BCA Classic.
