Ohio State football | Torrance Gibson transferring to Mississippi junior college

Suspended Ohio State wide receiver Torrance Gibson is transferring to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, according to a tweet from his new school.Ohio State – the university, not the athletic program or football team – suspended Gibson in August for what was termed a violation of the student conduct code. The Dispatch reported that the incident stemmed from a dispute involving a female tutor or teaching assistant. Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer said at the time of the suspension that he disagreed with it. Gibson remained in Columbus for at least a while and the Buckeyes expected to have him back for the 2017 season. Gibson arrived as a highly touted quarterback from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale in 2015.
