During the team’s Fiesta Bowl media day, a Buckeyes modeled the uniforms the team will wear when Ohio State faces Clemson in the College Football Playoff Semifinal on New Year’s Eve.The look is familiar but with a subtle twist. The uniforms are quite similar to the ones the Buckeyes wore during their Sugar Bowl win over Alabama in 2015. The jerseys are a 1968 throwback featuring a slightly stripe pattern on the sleeves with more gray and red. The jersey also features the same Diamond Quest Nike swoosh that was present on Ohio State’s last playoff uniforms. The new wrinkle is the template of the uniform itself. The Buckeyes will make use of Nike’s newest innovation, the Vapor Untouchable template, which features minimal seams and fewer panels than the traditional look.
