Long journey: UT’s Roberts strives to overcome None of the success that University of Toledo senior tight end Michael Roberts is having has come easy. Coming to Toledo as a raw prospect from Cleveland Benedictine High School, Roberts’ ascent as one of the nation’s top tight ends took a long and winding path. He admits looking back on his early years with the Rockets he didn’t put in the work necessary to earn consistent playing time.
