Robert Landers is known to almost everyone as BB.Asked if anyone calls him by his given name, Landers replied with a laugh, “My professors. That’s about it.” Landers shared the same first name as his father, who died 10 years ago. “A lot of his friends called him Bobby or Bo,” he said, “so they called me ‘B’ or ‘BB.’ ” For an undersized nose tackle on a defense that calls itself the Silver Bullets, “BB” is a fitting nickname. Landers is listed at 6 feet 1 and 285 pounds. That’s a stretch. The weight might be correct, but the redshirt freshman acknowledges that he’s an inch shorter than the roster says. Every other Buckeyes defensive lineman is at least a couple of inches taller. Michael Hill, the teammate with whom Landers shares time, is 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier.
