Baker jumped into starting lineup, made big impact in 2016


NOTE – Our staff had access to various Ohio State team members before and after the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona. We are continuing to share some of those interviews, including this one with linebacker Jerome Baker. Jerome Baker did not begin the 2016 season as a starter at outside linebacker for Ohio State. But when starter Dante Booker went down with a knee injury in the season opening game against Bowling Green, that opened the door for Baker to move into the lineup. And he did so with flying colors. Baker, a 6-1, 225-pound sophomore from Cleveland Benedictine, made the most of his opportunity. He started the season’s last 12 games at the weakside linebacker position.
