[Editor’s note: This is the second of 12 stories that will look at Ohio State’s schedule for the 2017 football season.] Week 2: Oklahoma at Ohio State: Saturday, Sept. 9 (time TBA) In what was widely expected to be a close game, Ohio State went into Norman last season and manhandled Oklahoma to the tune of 45-24. The Sooners didn’t lose another game the rest of the season. They won the Big 12 championship, beat Auburn 35-19 in the Sugar Bowl, and finished with an 11-2 record. Oklahoma returns 16 starters in 2017, which is tied for ninth-most in the country. Ohio State — which also finished the 2016 season with an 11-2 mark — returns 15 starters, which is tied for the 25th-most in the nation.
