NFL Combine: Conley hoping to crack draft's first round

INDIANAPOLIS – Gareon Conley is among six Ohio State defensive backs in two seasons to leave school early for the NFL draft. A year ago, safeties Tyvis Powell and Vonn Bell and corner Eli Apple left for the NFL. This year, Conley is joined by fellow corner Marshon Lattimore and safety Malik Hooker. But the threesome leaving OSU will have a leg up on last year’s group. While Powell went undrafted, all three of this year’s early secondary departures will not only be drafted but could all go in the first round. Lattimore and Hooker are each considered as top-10 overall picks. Conley is hoping to join his teammates as a first rounder.
