COLUMBUS, Ohio — Everything and nothing is changing for the Ohio State defensive coaching staff. A new face has emerged, with Billy Davis moving in as linebackers coach, and a new title has been claimed, with Greg Schiano dropping the “co” and now standing as the only assistant with a defensive coordinator title. But the operation is mostly the same. “It’s not different. Really it wasn’t Luke (Fickell) and I bouncing (off of each other), it was all four of us — always,” Schiano said during the first week of spring practice. That won’t change. Fickell is gone to Cincinnati, and his co-defensive coordinator title hasn’t been assumed by anyone else on the staff. On paper it’s Schiano’s show.
