Ohio State talks race as part of 'Live Life Wednesdays'

Ohio State’s Real Life Wednesdays have become one of the Buckeyes biggest selling points in recruiting. Several members of the Buckeyes 2016 class said how head coach Urban Meyer prepares his players for life after football was just important, if not more, than the football aspects of coming to OSU. Often the issues discussed during these session are not conventional or comfortable. Recently Meyer brought in former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice to talk about how he lost it all with one bad decision. This week, as part of “Live Life Wednesdays,” Meyer and his staff brought back two Ohio State graduates in former linebacker Joshua Perry and Dr. Robert Bennett, who now works in both the Office of International Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at OSU, to discuss another uncomfortable topic, race and the social injustices in this country.
