It’s one thing to follow a team when it’s facing a big conference game, when the campus is alive with school spirit and tailgating. It’s quite another to be obsessed with the race for backup quarterback and how many of the early enrollees might contribute in the fall. Ohio State isn’t the only program with this kind of fan support, but when it drew 80,134 to Ohio Stadium for the April 15 spring game, it set the bar for the nation.
