What’s next for the Ohio State secondary?


When you lose three-quarters of your secondary to the NFL Draft, shouldn’t that be cause for alarm? Well, yeah, at most programs. But the Ohio State Buckeyes are different. Perhaps it’s the ultimate compliment toward Urban Meyer’s recruiting juggernaut. Thursday night, when the former Buckeye/early entry trio of cornerback Marshon Lattimore (11th overall to the New Orleans Saints), safety Malik Hooker (15th to the Indianapolis Colts) and cornerback Gareon Conley (24th to the Oakland Raiders) went in first-round rapid-fire fashion, it sure seemed like a chasm would be left in the Ohio State defense. Not necessarily. The Buckeyes, remember, have been down this road before.
